Fantastic project for such a worthwhile cause - to remember the ordinary people who did extraordinary things to preserve our freedom. Love the new graphics too!

FootSoldierSam Sutcliffe, my dad, late WW1 veteran of Gallipoli, the Somme, Arras, and finally in 1918 a POW, would have been very appreciative of remembrance for him and so many others via Cathy's original approach to time and what happens to ordinary people caught up in these terrible events. All the best, Phil Sutcliffe

Many thanks Phil. It's an honour to commemorate your father. He more than deserves his special place in this archive! Your site makes a very moving visit; footsoldiersam.blogspot.com . Thx, Cathy.

What an original concept. I have always thought that one of the most iconic pictures of the early days of World War II, when Britain was on her own, was the photograph of Big Ben with barbed wire in the foreground.

Thank you Jeff. Agree, in 2015 we are expecting to double the entries into the site and pics such as Big Ben, looking almost under siege, will be amongst them. Happy New Year to you.
